The Jungle Book
The man offered a dip of his head in greeting to the other as he gave his name. Chimera Klein. An interesting name surely, though he supposed it made sense with his two colored pelt. Chimeras were a popular lore in his culture, a creature born of two that did not belong, sometimes in the form of a lion mixed with an eagle or some other odd combination. His parents seemed to understand this when they named him. But, his posture never seemed to soften even after the introduction. Instead, he got even more defensive. He instructed the Genji man to stay away from the nearby small island, much more an order than a suggestion and Raijin’s eyebrows rose.
The other’s posture and manner of speaking seemed...protective, like he was trying to keep him away from something there. He couldn’t tell if it were dangerous or not, and it was certainly befuddling considering that the island was under the claim of Ashen and, therefore, none others should consider it private. Still, he offered a nod of his head. “Alright, thank you for the warning. Is there something I should be wary of there, something dangerous?” he inquired. Surely Chimera could at least answer that, after all, as his pack mate and a new one at that he deserved a proper explanation.
