Was the bitch fucking crazy? She ran at the bear and launched herself not only at it, but at its throat for gods sake. Didn't she realize that he was chasing it off? He wasn't trying to kill it. It would be an unrealistic expectation. If she wanted to kill herself though, he wouldn't stop her. He didn't know this woman and she meant nothing to him, so if she died, she died.

Chimera ran after the bear, sinking his teeth into its hind end. Again the bear dropped low, a moaning growl leaving its maw. When it looked as though the ursine had been sufficiently terrified, the boy let go. His pace slowed as he watched the beast continue to run away. Chimera had won the day. He had expected no less.
