Rhaegara found herself nervous for what this meeting would bring, though she was temporarily distracted as the sight of the horse she had heard about came into view, her eyes widening as Carlys’s eyes widened as well. He was so big. Rhae’s attention didn’t remain there for long because another wolf was entering the area, though she found herself unfamiliar because she was still learning everyone’s names and faces. She did not greet him with more than a dip of the head because she did not know his name. The next face to arrive was more familiar, a goofish grin on her features and a light wag of her tail to see her familiar friend. “Cairo! It is good to see you again! I am well. How are you?” She could see the surprise on his features and knew it was because he likely had not known about her recent joining. Two other wolves arrived, though Rhaegara was once again unfamiliar with all of them. It didn’t matter too much because Aurielle was beginning the meeting, listening carefully to the instructions. Fighting. She recalled telling Aurielle that she was interested in the War Circle and knew she had to do well. Carlys nipped lightly at her ear with her beak to let her know she was ready.

The teams were announced and Rhaegara looked around, a nervous look on her features. Cairo and Domari both had armor and Taliesyn was a horse… and she was to go up against all three of them? Really, she knew that soon she should learn the craft and make armor of her own, that not having some acted as a disadvantage to her… perhaps she would seek out Cairo afterwards about it, because clearly he knew the crafting arts well.

She took her place, Rhaegara watching as Carlys took to the sky to hover above her. They had long since learned how to fight together and had plenty of practice with it now. The order began and she chose to target Cairo first. She was more familiar with him and she had fought him before so she felt more confident in her skills to verse him. She recalled his words from that time. The openings for my front legs also leave me vulnerable just behind the foreleg if my opponent is very precise and accurate. She rushed him, teeth snapping as she went for the spot just behind his forelegs, hoping she was precise and accurate enough to combat a master dueler like him and gain access to the vulnerable flesh with her teeth. She kept her weight low to the ground, hoping to approach his left side because she was better at defending her right side which she knew would be exposed to him head on.
