As her lover settled in beside her, Resin lifted her front leg, draping it over the smaller woman. She pulled their bodies together, shifting her position slightly so that they fit together perfectly. Even after all this time, Resin still enjoyed simply being with Tamsyn. The obsidian fae complimented the fur and the grey lady chuckled. "Might as well be comfortable. Who knows how long it will be before sleep claims me." Resin had always had trouble sleeping, but things seemed to be worse as of late. There was a lot weighing on her mind and, though she shared some of her concerns with others, she generally kept most things to herself. Such was the burden of a ruler. Tamsyn commented on the sudden onslaught of winter and the scarred woman rumbled her agreement. "Much colder already this year than last." With a soft sigh, Resin rested her head against that of the woman beside her. "I planned for us to move in the spring, but I believe we'll have to move as soon as possible." With the death of Rue and the influx of predators, their current location was becoming very unsafe. And with so many puppies obsessed with exploration, every day was worrisome. Resin was feeling the stress. She would rather move her pack in the beginnings of winter than stay for a season and end up with murdered children. "I've already started going through things and deciding what to take and leave." They would have to borrow the cart from the Armada. Possibly convert it to a sleigh. "We'll have to take as much food and as many furs as we're able. Everything else can be replaced." Things could be replaced, but her family couldn't. The urge to move immediately was intense. She was sending Askan on ahead to explore and prepare. "We need to leave soon." The woman curled her neck slightly so that she could look upon the face of her lover. Concern was evident in her golden eye. It had been weighing heavily on her mind. "Speech" |
