The pair of wolves collided brutally, the woman shifting to the side so that Álarr's attacks struck her right shoulder. His horns bashed into her upper shoulder while his fangs latched hold above the elbow. He quickly rolled his shoulders forward, pushing fur and fat over his vitals as Hela's teeth bit into his upper neck. He continued to hold his defenses, keeping his ears pinned to his head, his tail tucked and his limbs spread evenly for support before he pushed forward. Álarr kicked off with his hind legs, seeking to push against Hela's let with his fangs as well as his chest. At the same time he kicked out his front right leg as he tried to strike at her front left leg. He hoped this combination of moves would topple her and hand the fight to him. There was a risk of course, in doing more damage to his own neck but it was a risk he was willing to take.
