Meet and greet

The fire-marked man was swift with his first attack, and Plague kept his gaze locked on Lament as he moved, though by the time he figured out which way he was going he didn't have a chance to fully avoid it. Lament's shoulder connected with the lower part of his right leg and Plague rolled with the impact, quickly shifting his weight to his opposite leg to let his right leg get swept from under him without doing more than stumbling a slight bit. Because his attention had been pulled to simply keeping his balance, he wasn't able to dodge Lament's teeth nipping at his side either, but that was alright. It was just a graze of teeth that at most left some light scratches in their wake, the blood slightly welling up to the surface.

Either way it kept Lament within his reach so as soon as he got his paw back on the ground and fully regained his balance, he took a step and lunged forward to reach toward his opponent. He attempted to shove his skull-cloaked right shoulder into Lament's side near where his side and hind leg met, intending to miss the man's rib cadge so he wouldn't do too much damage with the attack. Plague also reached his open jaws toward the lower portion of Laments back, right leg, wanting to get a hold of the limb to try and pull him off balance and bring him off his feet.
