Rhaegara hummed softly at Cairo’s greeting back, though she did not have the opportunity to speak further as the rest of the competitors arrived, and they were being given their orders by Aurielle. She had gone for Cairo instantly because she was familiar of the weaknesses in his armor, as he’d used them when originally teaching her about fighting armored opponents. It was best, in her mind, to stick to what she knew.

He met her attack, caught off guard by him dropping his front left side and she felt leather rather than the fur and flesh she had been hoping for. She felt him hook her paw. She pulled her head back to rear away from his teeth as he aimed for her cheek, done in vane as she felt herself being knocked off balance, caught in the mess and confusion of the tangle of paws. Carlys took that opportunity to dive into the fight, aiming to claw at his muzzle with her talons to distract while Rhaegara put all of her energy into her legs to push upward towards Cairo in a pushing manner, hoping to throw him off balance so she might have time to recover and get back on her feet.

She kept her surroundings peeled, ready to move elsewhere but also attentive to the fight under her own paws.
