Rayne bowed his head in goodbye as Caedmon turned and went on his own way, back to his family. A small pang hit Rayne in the heart at the thought of his own family but pushed it down. They’d be fine, he was sure of it. “The same to you,” He called softly after the other, watching the russet form slowly fade away into the trees. Perhaps if they met again, Rayne would ask to join them as he’d forgotten how lonely things could get travelling well, alone. But for now, he just settled against the tree again and curled up. He’d better rest properly first before moving off again, as getting snuck up on again wasn’t an idea he liked. |
