Perhaps it was a bit foolhardy to bathe in waters warmed by a volcano, but Tyrian was currently too sated to care. In these delightful waters with the icy wind whipping overhead he was like a newborn pup with a full belly. Any reservations he'd felt before entering had melted away the moment his toes touched water. Tashi, the one responsible for this spa day, was laying further down the pool with only his face clear of the surface. Tyrian couldn't quite bring himself to be that uninhibited. He was 'sitting' on his tail with his paws floating in front of him, his back pressed into the bank behind him, and his dry head and neck bobbing over the surface. Reposed as he may have been, he couldn't bring himself to dip completely below the water's surface.
He tipped his head backwards and gazed up at the sky thoughtfully. Now this was nice. He needed one of these back home. Tyrian could just see himself kicking back in the water with Lachlan and some girls. God that'd be nice, wouldn't it? He'd never get anything done in the winter if there was a pool of warm water to retreat to. But honestly? It might be worth it.
Tyrian's eyes slid open as a soft splashing reached his ears. Off to the side was floating a small, dark blob. It took him a moment to recognize the shape as a dog paddling Righty. Of course the skunk had tagged along. Unlike Zahir who wouldn't entertain the thought of submerging in water if her life depended on it and hadn't come along, Righty had invited herself and ridden in Tashi's arms nearly the whole way. Seeing Tyrian watching, the little skunk winked at him and then paddled off, her thick striped tail flowing serpentine behind her. Tyrian closed his eyes again. This was nice.
