He gave her a nod instead of continuing, sensing she preferred to be left alone and, while most of the time Raijin tended to ignore that, they had other matters to attend to. He was beginning to wonder if the entirety of Ashen was a solitary lot, especially considering the few wolves that seemed to trickle in. He was surprised to see his cousin wasn’t in attendance, but it wasn’t like Venom couldn’t handle things perfectly well on her own. She seemed like quite the capable woman.
Venom spoke without pomp, getting straight to the point which he appreciated. She instructed the adults to list their strengths and skills, Viper being the first to offer herself up. She seemed to stutter through the first bit, but recovered toward the end, labeling herself as an adept huntress and fighter. The latter, despite her scarred appearance, surprised him if he were honest. She seemed like she wouldn’t be able to stand getting down and dirty like that, but looks could be deceiving.
Next he supposed it was his turn and he wasted no time, his voice strong and clear with practiced precision so that all would hear him. “My name is Genji Raijin, though Raijin is fine. I’m a skilled fighter and have fought alongside our Shogun for many years, but my specialty lies in diplomacy and strategy. If you were my apprentice, I’d teach you how to talk your way through any situation, get whatever information you needed out of someone, and back up your words with your body,” he said, a confident grin on his handsome features.
