Ah, the heat of battle, the rush of adrenaline! In such a state Argent felt very much invincible and she dared anybody to tell her otherwise. Victory rushed through her at the connection of her shoulder and the way her foot slammed upon his, but for some reason or another she did not achieve the grasp she had hoped upon his neck. No matter; killing the fool would result in more trouble than it was worth. There was another prize Argent sought, one much closer to his posterior than his front. She had not tried to move away from his neck (OOC: I never mentioned her trying to rip her head away from him?), but nonetheless she would find that she?d ripped his fur out. Perhaps this was the way the gods of war were telling her an attack on the front was not appropriate; no, she needed to move.
Argent?s middle chest had not been aligned with Gideon?s right shoulder at all. Because her hit had aimed just to his left of his right shoulder, his right shoulder had been aligned just to her left of her right shoulder. This would have still hit somewhat, had she not begun to move upon realizing the strangely failed attempt of her jaws to harm his neck. She started moving to her own left as soon as her neck attack was less than fruitful, hoping to push beyond the male?s front. His right shoulder would knock against the outside of her right shoulder, biting moderate bruising into the area. His jaws, which had ungripped after obtaining a grip (OOC: I said Gideon obtained a grip in my last post, and I was confused because there was no mention of him releasing his jaws in your post but then he bit again? ;_; Hopefully this is okay), sought her shoulder once more. Argent would be long out of his gripping range now; instead his teeth merely clipped along her right shoulder, light lacerations adding to the damage in the area.

As she moved her right paw lifted up, relieving Gideon?s paw of her pressure, her hind quarters pivoting to her own left as she sought to move forwards and towards the Valhallan leader at an angle. She wanted to approach his right side ribs with a crushing force, seeking to slam her right shoulder into the part of his ribs that was closer to his head (about the middle of his torso height wise, but about where ?withers? is labeled length wise), whilst her ankle bent down and moved upwards, hoping to drive underneath the bottom his chest (about where ?chest? is) with a crushing force. Head twisted to her right, jaws attempting to bite into Gideon?s ribs and hoping to break one, the efforts of her shoulder and ankle seeking to assist her in this goal. At the same time her hips kept pivoting to her own left, tail lowering and tucking to hopefully offer protection to her unborn children.
She would hope that these movements would only be assisted by Gideon?s movements. Her paw lifting up had prevented her from being knocked off balance; she?d been adjusting her weight to pick it up at the time she?d done it, anyways. Her movements to her left helped her to avoid his use of weight, a lucky happening indeed. Gideon had a good amount of bulk, more so than the Duchess, and she did not wish to hold a shoving match with him. No, she needed to find his vulnerabilities, and she needed to break him.

Defenses stayed in place the entire time, never dropping, merely adjusting when necessary. Three grounded limbs spread apart equally, bending and lowering her body so that she might have a better center of gravity, weight evenly distributed across all grounded legs, toes spread slightly, claws trying to tickle the soil for traction, shoulders rolled as best as possible, head lowered to align with her spine, neck scrunched, hackles raised, chin tucked as closely as possible, face contorted into a snarl, jaws parted when possible, ears pinned back, and eyes narrowed.

ARGENT vs. GIDEON for GIDEON/CASTRATION
2/3
DEFENSES tail tucked, three grounded limbs spread apart equally, bending and lowering her body so that she might have a better center of gravity, weight evenly distributed across all grounded legs, toes spread slightly, claws trying to tickle the soil for traction, shoulders rolled as best as possible, head lowered to align with her spine, neck scrunched, hackles raised, chin tucked as closely as possible, face contorted into a snarl, jaws parted when possible, ears pinned back, and eyes narrowed.

ATTACKS hoping to move to her left and pivot her hips to her left so that she might have a shot at Gideon?s side; seeking to slam her right shoulder into Gideon?s right ribs and seeking to slam her right ankle into his chest. Seeking to twist her head to the right and bite into Gideon?s right side so that she might break some ribs.
INURIES: moderate bruising to outside of right shoulder, light lacerations to right shoulder four deep punctures to her right shoulder

OOC: I'm just going to provide my opinion on the whole rolled shoulders thing. x3 Rolled shoulders do not protect the back of the neck. They protect the sides of the neck. Rolling the shoulders may, in some instances scrunch the neck, thus producing a protective layer of fur and skin, but this was not mentioned in Gideon?s last post. Hackles produce a raised layer of fur, also effective for protecting the back of the neck, but this also was not mentioned in Gideon?s post. I don?t think we?re going to agree on this issue, so it's v. much up to the judge, but I don?t think it?s fair to say his rolled shoulders protected the back of his neck, nonetheless I worked with it as best I could xD Just explaining my side of things.
