Broke-winged Bird

The woman rotated away from him and his fangs missed seizing a hold. She dropped into a crouch to try and he felt her head start to shovel underneath him. Instinctively he curled in, his tail pinned to his belly while his ears remained pinned to his head. As he curled in his fangs sought to grab ahold of Torrent's scruff, just at the base of her skull as he hoped to maybe prevent himself from flying completely onto the ground. If he could get a good hold he might have some leverage not to fall completely on the ground and if he failed to keep his hold perhaps he could use the unexpected momentum to deal more damage as the force of his body weight would tear the woman's skin should his fangs find purchase.
