The purple hued girl moved slowly through the snow, her head low and her mind wandering. She wasn’t sure exactly where she was going, or what she was supposed to do now, but she hoped to find something that might give her some direction soon. She’d met a man who seemed nice enough that had given her the suggestion of going to seek help from his alpha, but she couldn’t help but think about how upset her mother would be if she knew Cosette had gone to another pack for help. It was a show of weakness, she’d been thought. Even asking the man for advice had been bad enough, but that was something her mother wouldn’t have to know about. If she were to ever find the girl. Cosette wondered often what had happened to her family and her old pack, but she tried to refrain from thinking about it for too long.
Her head lifted at the sound of someone approaching, and fast. Spinning around, she caught sight of an even younger girl skidding to a stop in the snow, just shy of knocking her over. The girl was taller than her, but all skin and bones. She was quick to explain but Cosette shook her head, instantly feeling a sort of kinship with the girl. The feeling was baseless, but she felt sorry for the girl. "No, it’s okay. Stuff happens." She spoke softly, hoping to reassure the other girl that she wasn’t angry.
