To say the boy was disappointed by not being assigned to the Shogun would have been an understatement, he'd suppose he'd settle , for now, and he made a mental note to try and prove himself, maybe he could work hard enough to get the horned man's attention... All this was to say he wasn't super happy when he walked off with the wrong koi marked man. It didn't help that he'd been paired off with his sister, he'd already been told to stop being so rough with his much smaller siblings and he hated the idea he might be told to keep holding back for her sake.

Still, he tried not to let his displeasure show too obviously, looking up at the fanged man and tried to take his words and really believe them, he did like what the man was proposing and he was eager to start pushing faces into the mud. So there was a genuine glint in his eye as he looked up at Raijin, his paw betraying just how eager he really was as he did the little excited puppy dance.
