The youth was quick, Álarr would give him that, but in the time it took for Chimera to move his jaws from down on Álarr's neck up to his mouth the older male had already shifted to counter by simply rotating his head. He launched his head forward and slightly down like a serpent striking at its prey, he sought to grab Chimera's lower jaw betwixt his own with his upper teeth digging deep into his opponent's tongue and his lower fangs on the underside of the lower jaw. Álarr sought a brutal grip, aiming to break the delicate bones of the lower jaw in his own. True, the top of his own muzzle was now vulnerable and would likely be scarred from such a bold attack but he didn't care. Álarr wasn't going to dance around with the younger wolf, who was very nearly an adult, and he sure as hell wasn't going to retreat. If they both had to walk away soaked in blood so be it.
