Perseus didn't exactly blend with the snow, so it's a good thing he had no intention of hunting that day. His colorful pelt stood out against the bright white background, and when the wind kicked up a flurry of snow it was sometimes enough to make his glow visible. How he had managed to feed himself so far was nothing short of a miracle, but he didn't want to jinx it so maybe he shouldn't think about it at all. For now he had a full belly, and a hankering to explore. Even if he personally felt that winter was more pain than the beautiful, sparkling white landscape was worth that didn't mean he couldn't force himself to appreciate it from time to time. As he wandered through the rolling expanse he found himself in, dotted here and there with boulders in all shapes and sizes, Percy could admit it was objectively beautiful. Evening was fast approaching, and it would still be some time before the sunset turned the world purple and orange, but already the landscape was beginning to take on a golden look. Long, indigo shadows stretched out behind the stones that surrounded him, contrasting sharply with the brilliance of the snow. Comfortable with the fact that, should he become lost, Percy could just retrace his tracks in the snow the young male felt free to wander as he pleased, taking in all he could of this frigid landscape before he sought out a den for the night.
