Poem felt Theory’s support and comfort as she offered her quiet affection. This wasn’t a difficult task, it was a happy one! She had no doubt Rhyme would be just as joyful as Theo but maybe not as much as Sparhawk. Her father’s features erupted into a grin and Poem’s heart filled with love, adoration, and excitement. She was going to give him grandchildren, Poem was going to be a mother.
The girl leaned into her father’s embrace as he spoke softly to her, his congratulations everything she wanted and needed to hear. For a long moment she felt complete. Like Shaye and Motif were right there with them as she announced the joyous news. ”Thank you, Tato.” She whispered to him as he pulled away and their eyes met for a moment.
Thankfully she was used to her father’s lack of tact, but she still felt a little disappointment at the revelation. Noir had managed to beat her to the punch, she wouldn’t be having the first of the grandchildren. ”Oh…” Poem wasn’t completely sure how to feel, but she knew and hoped, her brother wasn’t in their lives. Samara stepped up to mention that her sister was the one to birth them, their family tree was slowly intertwining with the Klein name. ”Do you think they’d like to meet their cousins when they’re old enough?” She was good at trying to look on the bright side, and any negative emotions were swiftly brushed from her features in favor of the excited grin she couldn’t stop wearing.
