She made an effort to dodge her paw but, surprised by the movement, she failed. In retaliation, she lifted a paw of her own, coated in dirt from the trek here, and made to smack Ophelia right across the eyes. Once she did that she veered backwards, nearly tripping over her own legs in the process, sure the other pup would come back even harder at her.
