snoozy devotion

Toxicity hoped that Hattori and Resin were well acquainted enough to warrant them marching into her pack. She eyed Hattori suspiciously, wondering if this was some hoax to get her attacked and killed as a 'misunderstanding' and then he could run back to Venom, comfort her if she mourned, and then sneak his way into higher and higher ranks. They made it safely enough and now Tox's mind was filled with the suspicions of the steamy waters ahead of her. She watched Hattori lower his way into the spring, her eyes scrutinizing not only to see if he died, but to debate how she should get in. Was the edge slippery? Was he intending to drown her? Would the heat harm her pups after all?
He asked her if she needed help getting in and she so obviously balked at him that even when she reeled her expression back under control she was only able to manage a half-angry grimace. Her brows were knitted and it was an over-the-top expression for her so much that she was sure Hattori would even see through it. She tried to scoff it off somewhat flippantly, "I was waiting to see if you boiled to death first." Was that... a joke? Did she just try to make a joke with the man. Whatever. Forget it.
Toxicity lowered herself into the waters, staying near enough to the edge that she could escape if Hattori so much as looked at her the wrong way. She refused to look at him, refused to admit her enjoyment or the warmth soothing her sore muscles and joints. She was here because Obi sent her... not for enjoyment... not for.... relax.... ation....
Her head dipped and dipped again and her thoughts blended into the steam around her as her exhaustion overcame her. Toxicity's head dipped once more with a long exhale, her nose dipping under the water's surface as bubbles followed out of her breath, popping in her face and yet still not waking her.
