Tonight was the night, the raiding party had already left, almost immediately being swallowed up by the whiteout snow and Drachen watched them leave, his oceanic blue eyes hard as he scanned the surrounding area. The tents were already set up against the wall and the healers were busy with the final preparations within those tents. He was here to guard them incase any of the enemy warriors broke through and attacked them. His dark face turned to look over his muscular shoulder, spotting the white male who seemed to be the head healer here at the entrance to one of the tents, giving the male a nod before he returned his attention to the freeland. The wind howled, pulling and clawing at his thick pelt as he stood on top of a large boulder he chose to be his lookout position. It gave him a good enough view to hopefully see any movement in the thick snowfall, enemy or friendly injured, early enough to spring into action.
This situation was nothing new to him, his birthpack always had some war going on with the neighboring packs and nerves before battle was not something he felt anymore. But his dark hackles still rose along his spine in anticipation and the adrenaline coursing through his veins made his heart throb harder in his chest. The stone beneath his claws scrapped softly as he flexed his claws to keep the blood flowing through them a few times before he settled into a stoic stillness. He could feel Enzi's eyes on him as his red tailed hawk companion perched on the wall, hunkered slightly against the wind despite his insistence that she stayed home in their den. The wind was too strong for her to fly and he did not want her to get hurt but of course the raptor had a mind of her own. Drachen released a deep breath, the fog from his nares instantly being ripped away by the wind, as he stood on his post and peered into the whiteout conditions and waited.

Drachen has a female Red-Tailed Hawk companion named Enzi that is always with him unless otherwise stated
