Predator fight

It quickly became clear that Chimera wasn’t about to be anyone's helpless victim. He tore into any dog that came near him with enthusiasm. Lament could understand the thrill, he was never fond of packs of scavengers. They were vicious, nasty creatures that posed a threat to any in the pack.
The next dog that lunged towards him, he smacked with a paw, knocking it off balance before snaking his head forward and getting a grip at the base of its neck. He held on hard, biting off its airways as it let out one gasping yip, before struggling silently in his grasp. A flailing paw clipped him on the side of his head, and he dug in deeper, his elongated fangs piercing skin as he yanked at the dog. Pulling it the ground, he held it there as its death throes caused it to convulse. Another dog, perhaps thinking to rescue its comrade, or get Lament well he was distracted, pounced. It grabbed a mouthful of Lament’s armpit fur, and Lament bit down harder on the first dog. It gasped, and fell still, and Lament turned, bucking once to loosen the dogs grip before swiping a paw at its side. It held on to him tightly, and his front paw slipped in slick blood from the throat of his first victom.
