Seasonal Skill Prompts - Spring, Year 16

Skill Prompts are a monthly feature that allow your character to gain skills in different ways. <b>Each <u>character</u> can only complete ONE prompt per season</b>, and can be completed either in a solo post or in a group thread. You cannot claim these posts for other skill points! Please note that as long as you complete the objectives, you're free to be creative with your posts and have some fun with these prompts!

For <b>solo posts</b>, you must complete the entire prompt in <b>one post</b>. Of course, you can use these posts as thread starters and continue the thread as usual, but no other skills may be claimed by you from that thread.

For <b>group threads</b>, the word count is <b>cumulative</b> and will be counted over all participants. However, participants must be ACTIVELY trying to complete the skill prompt for their words to count. <u>Note that group threads have a maximum of 3 allowed participants unless otherwise specified.</u>

<div class=tcat>Fighting</div>

<u>Big Tough Guy:</u> Wait... where did these guys come from, and why are they so big?

<b>Goal</b>: Participate in a fight with an... extra dire wolf?
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere!
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">1. Find one of the freaky big wolves. They appear to be nomads and they're everywhere.
2. Maybe they wander into your pack or just too close to your kill; justify fighting them.
3. Fight! Who wins? These are NPCs so make it up yourself! Maybe they'll tell you something good after you fight them (and post in skill claims, who knows)!

<u>A Whatchamacallit:</u> You've never seen a creature quite like this!<div align="justify" style="padding-bottom:10px; padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px; padding-top:10px;">
<b>Goal</b>: Find and hunt a Doedicurus, Glyptodon, or Megalonyx jeffersonii!
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Boreas!
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">1. Figure out what the heck this animal is.
2. Hunt it! What challenges do these strange animals impose?
3. Do you win, or are these new creatures too tough for you?

<u>Warms the Heart:</u> Some of these creatures have seen harsher and longer winters than this one... what could we learn from them?

<b>Goal</b>: Talk to or be treated by a Neochoerus pinckneyi.
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere!
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">1. Find a Neochoerus pinckneyi who can heal you, get healed by you, or impart their wisdom onto you.
2. Get treated, treat them, or just talk.
3. Maybe they'll tell you something good after you interact with them (and post in skill claims, who knows)!

<u>Deep Freeze:</u> Wait... shouldn't it be Spring already? Why is there MORE ice?

<b>Goal</b>: Navigate the... snow?
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere / Ice Bridge / the Bifrost
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">
1. Observe the cold: the weather patterns, everything is cold! An Ice bridge appeared in the north, the Bifrost is frozen solid! What's going on?
2. How does the change in landscape make it easier or difficult to do your job? What can remedy it?
3. Theorize when it will be warm again!

<u>Trader Joes:</u> It seems like there's a lot of new wolves around... wonder if they'd want to trade?

<b>Goal</b>: Trade with some NPCs!
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere!
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">1. Find some nomadic wolf NPCs!
2. What do they want to trade? Furs? Food? A place to stay?
3. If you're lucky, maybe they'll tell you something good after you accommodate them (and post in skill claims, who knows)!

</div><b>Reward</b>: 30 Intellect Skill Points
</div>

<div class=tcat>BONUS PROMPT- ANY</div>

<center><b>Only one bonus prompt per PLAYER allowed each season. A character can only complete ONE prompt a season, whether it be a bonus prompt or a regular prompt, unless otherwise specified.</b></center>

<u>Tip of the Iceberg:</u> Winter just keeps coming, and now it's spread to Auster. Is there no escape? No end in sight?

<b>Goal</b>: Survive together!
<b>Word Count</b>: 2500 (2 wolves), 3500 (3 wolves), 4500 (4 wolves)
<b>Packs only (per pack):</b> 5500 (5 wolves), 6500 (6 wolves), 7500 (7 wolves), 8500 (8 wolves), 10500 (10 wolves)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere!
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">1. Something is happening! Whether it's a fight with a strange creature, a hunt, lack of hunts, whatever. All hands are needed to help survive the harsh season!
2. Figure out how to combine your skills to survive through an event caused by the extreme cold! (Ice storms, sleet, hail, massive snowfall, strange beast attacks, lack of herbs, hypothermia, etc.)
3. DON'T die.

</div><b>Reward</b>: 30 points to any two skills. +25 extra points to one skill of all participants if a PC brought in <u>BEFORE</u> Spring of Year 16 dies.
