snoozy devotion

Hattori really thought she ought to smile more. She was fine as she was, he supposed, nor was he all that invested in her expressions but...there was no use for everyone to go through life as tight lipped as he was. Even Hattori knew and acknowledged that. Content to let her rest, Hattori retreated to his corner of the pool and sunk back down into a comfortable lounging position. He exhaled through his nose as he let his eyes closed, he wasn't tired but he knew resting would do his bones well. Maybe they wouldn't ache so much, if he was lucky.
By the time Toxicity woke up it wouldn't be unfair to assume Hattori had fallen asleep too. He sat there hunched over with his eyes closed and his breathing slow and measured, in a sort of meditate state where his thoughts were calm and collected. His eyes flickered open as she moved to leave the pool and Hattori rolled his shoulders as his ears flicked to attention to hear her question. She was hungry, it seemed, but was being pedantic about it. Clambering out of the pool, Hattori had no qualms in shaking off his coat and paid very little attention to Toxicity. He might have been a bit of a starer but it wasn't because he was enthralled by what he saw.
"The Hallows may be willing to share some of their supplies, or I can hunt something for you on the way back." Either option worked for him, he was willing to handle it.
