While Satire was the spitting image of her father in terms of the colors in her pelt and the hue of her eyes, and she carried the hints of his accent, she did not like the harsh northern winters that occurred in his homeland and she hoped that she would only ever have to experience them through stories. Satire grinned as her sister raised the stakes further. “Oh, you are so on.” Being able to stay nice and warm tucked up with her parents while her sister did her chores? That sounded like the perfect night to her.

Her sister came at her without hesitating and Satire shifted to the side to just barely offset herself, pulling her head in a rearing fashion away from her sister to expose the spot of her head just next to her ear rather than her ear. She felt teeth make contact as paws wrapped around her. She bent her legs, pushing off the ground as she tried to throw her sister off balance, hoping to knock her to the ground so Satire could swoop in and claim a victory.
