Aerie Hunt - Bighorn sheep
03-11-2021, 06:53 PM
He'd been studying a small herd of bighorn sheep that had been frequenting the ravine lately. Perhaps with the strange weather of the season, they were pushed and forced into pack lands. Usually, he saw them outside of the borders in the nearby cliffs and rocks...but not today. Over the last few days, he'd been considering something that he hadn't quite considered before. If the sheep were within reach like this, perhaps they'd be more useful. Not just for food...but the sight of a young lamb among them made him think perhaps he could capture them somehow, and maybe raise them for food. The only issue with that was they were adept climbers. He watched them scale the rocks that a wolf would have immense trouble scaling if a wolf could even get some footing at all. Since it was something he hadn't considered yet, maybe he'd ask Eli if he had any ideas on how to contain the animals and start his livestock project.
For now, though, he wanted to hunt one of them down and help stock the food stores up. After all, he didn't know how long the snow would last this season...it was unusual compared to past years that he'd been alive. Nodding to himself, the dark male retreated back and uttered a soft call for any of his packmates to join him on this morning's hunt.
