Your loyalty is to us, and leaving isn’t a choice you can make alone.” He rebuked her softly, though she was a very sorry sight at his borders. “Our healers have also made that same promise, and they were there to help you, and make the decision of contagion themselves. If you were contagious, leaving could have been a very bad thing. You could have left a trail of sickness in your wake and not known it.” Her foolishness could have endangered others, but he had to believe that the sickness had clouded her judgment. Otherwise, what was the point of being pack?
