The result was definitely in her favor, although she didn't know it. Maija's body movements were tense, cautious -- explaining the silent paranoia that was evident in those physical actions. Her eyes remained stony and emotionless, not letting the purple female take note of her feelings. Even though she was an open book by her movements, Maija still didn't want to be completely exposed to the woman.
The silky words that left the other's lips met the ears that immediately flattened to her crown. Maija wasn't sure how to take such poetry of the soul, let alone respond to it. Her scent also reached the golden-furred fae's nose, making her realize that this stranger was familiar. She remembered her then, making the announcement at the Tortuga meeting. Her tail flicked behind her out of habit, gaze never leaving the massive form of the female in front of her.
Maija stood from her cowering position from beneath the tree to her fullest height. Proud and elegant, Maija's form crept forward from the space she had temporarily claimed as her own. Her leaf green gaze contrasted against her golden fur, of which was slowly growing thicker as the weather got colder. With her steady eyes on the Queen, Maija's words were extracted from her, as if she had been tortured to speak. "I know not the words of nature's beings, only the words spoken by my soul." Her ears, which had temporarily perked, reclined back to her cranium again. "I have yet to meet another whose match their importance."
Romanian accent rolled from her tongue, hitting the words at the proper places. Mentally, she wanted to recede inside her shell and not face another stranger. Since losing Dragomir, it was all she wanted. However, something inside of her prompted the Romanian beauty to continue facing Newt. Maybe there would be some good out of this meeting. "What other ways would there be to have a soothed mind?" She pried, wondering what she was thinking.
