The fiery man's foreleg hit the ground hard, and Avantika couldn't help but wince in solidarity. But it didn't look like he was giving himself a break, of course, since they were still in a fight, and forced her to keep her focus on the said fight. She managed to move away from the caracal's jaws at first, but the wolf drove his shoulder into her chest and grabbed her under the jaw, holding her still. Rats. She wasn't going to be able to get out of that one. She stayed motionless for a few moments, acknowledging his victory, and then, just to be sure, also gave her submission verbally: "You win."

She'd step back once he let her go and scan the battlefield for a new opponent. She had to redeem herself. Kaata swiftly caught her up on the results of the other fights that had happened while Avantika had been engaged in her own. "Rudy lost?" She smirked. She'd have to tease him about that later. Since she'd lost too, that showed that both of them needed to spend more time training. So the teasing had a purpose.

She settled back to watch the rest of the raid play out, and sat down, just to make it even more clear that she had been knocked out of the running. It burned to just sit there while her packmates were fighting, but she reasoned that she'd probably be able to study some new tactics to try out on her own. Kaata flew over to her and landed between her paws.
