Siren wasn’t sure how she felt about the new presence on the island. Nor had she quite come to grips with the woman having stayed in Chimera’s den. He wasn’t touchy feely, he didn’t care about anyone and the two of them only had each other. That wasn’t wholly true though, Dalila lived in the den too, usually next to the princess herself. Chimera was often off doing his lofty responsibilities in the pack, all for her. That was why she wouldn’t ever say a thing against Chimera’s wishes. He lived a simple life, and there was nothing he asked of her without prompting. If he wanted this woman here, Siren would eventually get used to her presence.
The Klein girl hated change though, and this was a big one.
The ivory she wolf felt the same about privacy as Chimera, this was her island and she didn’t enjoy other wolves treading here. Especially when all they did was pace all day. Siren couldn’t remain cooped up in the den for very long and despite the cold she was lying at the edge of the forest, looking out over the beach, when Viper strode by.
Siren lifted her delicate features from the heavy scrap of polar bear fur she wore over her shoulders. So far she’d managed to avoid the woman as much as possible, but this time she hadn’t been paying enough attention. She was bound to run into her eventually.
