Briar couldn't really tell if her pleas to try and take the heat off of Artorias were working or not from the expression that Resin wore, but the squint she made didn't really seem like the angry kind of squint. It was more like a pained squint - something she probably only noticed because of having a different frame of mind from her healer training. It made her brows pull together for a moment with concern before Resin began to speak again, telling them how her or Tamsyn should have been notified. She gave Artorias a glance when she referred to him as Oxx, wondering if that was some second name of his or something, but the stunned expression he wore told her that wasn't the case. Briar looked back at Resin when she was addressed and was given a belated welcome - and another reminder that she should call for entry next time. She nodded in agreement and managed a quick, "Yes, ma'am," before Resin backed away from the door and disappeared down the hallway.

She was confused by the whole exchange, but tried not to look into it too deeply. She was quick to dismiss the apology Artorias gave her with a shake of her head, replying, "No, it's okay... It's my fault." She didn't often take the blame for much of anything, but seeing how uncomfortable the whole exchange had made him made her feel even more guilty about just waltzing in the way she had. Of course she had never really expected anything like this to happen since she had always assumed their families were so close, but she understood that rules were rules. She appreciated that he tried to get their tour back on track and she offered him a smile. "Sure! I don't mind a climb." Despite her thoughts still kind of lingering on the moment with Resin, she was still eager to see some of these spectacular views he had promised.

She followed him out of the room and down the hall toward the stairs, sticking close to him as well. Now that she had been officially welcomed she didn't feel like she had to stay right next to him necessarily, but she wasn't quite ready to venture off on her own just yet. Maybe tomorrow. When they reached the top of the tower she made her way over to the edge, immediately distracted from her worries by the expanse of land ahead of them. She gasped and looked out wide eyed at it, a grin pulling at her lips. Getting confronted by Resin had shaken off the last of her bravado and she genuinely showed her expressions without trying to hide them. "It's beautiful up here," she breathed, her tail wagging happily behind her.

For a while she was just happy to take in the view and just be absolutely astounded by how far she could see from up here, but eventually her thoughts returned to her original worries. "Hey, um..." she began, glancing toward Blue Boy again, "Is she... okay? She kind of looked like she was in pain, but it didn't look like she was hurt so I wasn't sure... And... Oxx?" She gave him a questioning look, but quickly added, "I don't mean to pry or anything, just... Healer brain, ya know?"
