Skælingr chuckled as his wife bumped his shoulder. "Now, now, it's not a competition." Still, he was very pleased with his showing. Both he and Ragna had hungered to prove themselves in battle and the raid had presented an excellent opportunity for the duo to show off their skills. Ragna went off toward one of their opponents healers and Skæ scouted for a new opponent for himself. He spied the unicorn. Fighting such a beast solo was a bad idea… but if he won there was no way Ragna could say she outperformed him even if she did win her fight. Skæ set his defenses, nerves and excitement mixing together as he sprang forward toward the hooved beast. Skælingr leapt for the unicorn's right hind leg, just over the hock. He wanted a slashing bite and had little intention of trying to hold onto something that would likely drag his sorry carcass across the ground. Ragna would never let him down if he got road burn on his bum… then again that would make for intimate healing time to get it treated.
