We're PIRATES When We are FREE

Sparrow had invited her to a party. A... pirate party. Theory wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but she thought she'd give it a go. There was part of her that still desperately wanted to reconnect with the Imperialis side of the family. It was perhaps a misguided notion, but there was part of her that wanted to prove her worth against Rhyme's denouncement. She'd invited Thalia along to the party but was worried she'd talked it up a bit too much. The last "party" she'd attended had been Jupiter's romp on the seaside. That had gone poorly. Strangely. Sometimes she found herself thinking about that dark, slinking woman: Thalia's relative, Felicity. Of course she cast those thoughts aside as soon as they came, but she still had... thoughts. It didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was Thalia at her side, bumping shoulders occasionally as they walked in a pair towards the gathering. At least this one was much, much closer to home.

The party wasn't as raucous as Jupiter's thronging orgy, but she was unsurprised to see a smattering of familiar faces. What she wasn't expecting was Lyric to be there. She gave the younger man a quiet, bemused look. He was more than welcome to come, as she was certain an invitation had been extended to all of Abaven, but he seemed delightfully out of place. Theo nudged Thalia's shoulder and gestured, giving her a small grin. "Maybe we'll have to hoist him home. We'll see." As they closed in on the rest of the gathering, she called to Sparrow overhead: "Hey! I made it," she sang. Theo gave nods and acknowledgements to the several other familiar faces - Valentine, Tyrian, Kai. So strange and funny to see Kai here. He was one of the first she'd confessed her attraction to women to. "This is Thalia," she added, giving her date an affectionate nip at the base of her ear.
