Am I Not Generous?

Isidora had noticed Oxx missing almost immediately. It was her job to know where he was at all times, so that she could better anticipate his needs and do whatever it is he wished of her. When he disappeared, the woman felt a mix of fear and relief. Her protector was gone, which left her vulnerable; nothing really bothered them while the steel beast was near. There were dangers around every corner, Oxx assured her, and Isadora was under a constant terror of what would happen if she was alone. A very small, almost minuscule part of her felt alleviated that the man was gone; she could breathe deeply and walk heavier. After just a moment of his absence, she decided it was a perfect chance to tidy up their “camp” site, and she did so until she heard the crunch of his paws on snow.
She quickly gave herself a shake and rid her paws of any accumulated dirt before smoothing down any out of place hairs she could reach. Thin lips pulled into a shallow smile - not too much, not too little. The tangy smell of blood hit her instantly, and her savior dropped a rolled up skin right before her. The squishy sound the pelt made as it hit the ground caused her stomach to twirl for a moment, but she swallowed it away. Her ears dared to come forward at his voice; it was silky smooth and so pleasant. Her heart skipped when he called her darling, her smile swelling just a bit. “Oxx, thank you. You are very generous to me,” she murmured, wanting to show her complete appreciation but careful to not talk too loudly. ”I will get it ready to use soon.” Another glance to the fur confirmed that it was no prey animal she was familiar with, but she knew Oxx would take care of her like no one else could and asked no questions on the pelt’s origins. “Are you hungry? Thirsty?” A single forepaw lifted slightly off the ground, ready to fetch him whatever he desired.
