To say Indigo was ready for spring would have been a horrendous understatement. Even if the dates said spring the cold remained and the boy was completely dissatisfied with their lot. He wanted the green to return and the plants. He never felt at home in the snow despite his thick coat and adaptations. One day he’d feel the soft green grass beneath his paws again, but for now at least he had company in his misery. Aerndies seemed to perk when he finally mentioned his name, the recognition was impossible to ignore.

There wasn’t any kind of surprised reaction, the boy simply nodded slightly as he tried not to dwell on that heart wrenching feeling of being homesick.
”You’ve thought right. My littermate and Father.” Indy affirmed her suspicion. He narrowed his eyes slightly, uncertain what her experience might have been. She didn’t seem like she was holding any grudges. ”I assume they both treated you well?” He didn’t want to make any apologies for them, not that Aerndis looked like she wanted one.
