Though Caelia had sought hold of her scruff, and she was successful, the unexpected shift in position caused her to stumble forward and lose her bearings. She bit down roughly onto her opponent's scruff but all at once she felt paws kickig up at her and catching her sharply in the throat. The wind was all but knocked out of her as she felt a bite land on her left shoulder. She winced as she tried to catch her breath and reevaluate her next move, eventually trying to pry herself out of Rœkia's grasp and shift herself so she might pin down her opponent and force her to submit, though this left her in a vulnerable position overall.
