Ulric's gaze caught hers as he stopped in front of what would be her cell and his ears flicked back against his skull. "Resin," he rumbled in return. He wasn't sure if how quickly everything had happened had been a blessing or a curse. On one hand he hadn't had to watch his mentor and friend slowly deteriorate over time, but it was all just so sudden and he felt woefully unprepared. It almost felt like there was still so much he wanted to learn from her before he took her role, but he logically knew that there wasn't much more he could learn. It was time to sink or swim and all of the work he had done was now having to be put to the test. But even beyond the concerns he had about becoming Ageis, he did genuinely care for her and her family. He often felt like they were more his family than any of the Adravendi wolves that carried the same name. She and Tamsyn had helped shape his children as much as he had. There was so much he wanted to say, but no words came to mind.

"What do you think will be strong enough?" he questioned as he glanced at the barred door, seeing a place where a latch or lock of some kind had once been. The bars were old and rusted, but were certainly stronger than anything they could possibly hope to find otherwise. He glanced around the long, closed off cell with a frown. "Can I at least get you some more furs or pillows? Anything to make it less..." He couldn't find the right word or phrase to describe the depressing dungeon around him. He wasn't sure even little comforts like that would help that situation or not, but seemed to him to be better than nothing. He finally brought his silver gaze back to her single golden orb again while he worked up the courage to do what needed to be done.
