Aoife had been preoccupied with working on a song and lost track of time, until Anja had showed up to bully her into putting away the lute and go to the meeting with her family. Since Anja had insisted that she get there quickly and the leopard had somewhat longer legs than Aoife, Aoife in turn had insisted the leopard give her a ride. Anja in turn had punished her with a blisteringly fast pace, taken at a cat's bounding rum rather than a wolf-lope. Luckily the leopard's pale, long winter coat gave her something for her dexterous paws to grip, or she'd have been digging her own cat-like claws in to stay on. When they were within a reasonable distance Anja slid to a stop and Aoife let herself tumble off, somersaulting back to her paws gracefully and padding up the hill to join her family, the last of the litter to arrive but seemingly not at all contrite about her tardiness.
