"They might have moved here from Boreas. It's still cold but not as cold as up there." She murmured mostly to herself as she watched them. She felt bad for the parents and the hardships the little family would have to go through. Even if all the snow disappeared Auster was only going to remain chilly if the weather went back to normal. It would be a while before nature caught up and realized it was time for plants to grow once more. Their only saving grace was that the prey here preferred lower Auster as opposed to the frigid temps of Boreas. At least hunting hadn't been too difficult. It didn't mean she felt nothing for the rest of the animals suffering. Their plight and the plight of the little ducklings pained her. She was happy for the distraction. She probably would have sat and watched the ducks the rest of the day and tried to think of how to make their lives easier. The man introduced himself and Antheia smiled warmly at him in return to his head dip. "I'm Antheia Raekan. It's nice to meet you too Phoenix." Her tail thumped softly before she followed his gaze bac to the ducks. They were probably going to end up as someone's lunch before the end of the season. She was aware that it was the way of life, she ate meat too, but something about the poor little parents who had babies too late in the season bothered her. "I know a little of Auster. My father would tell me stories when I was a pup." She replied to him with a far off look in her eyes. "What about you? I could be reading it wrong, but you seem new here." She looked back up at him again with a curious look on her face. Maybe he needed directions? "speak."| "You" |
