He was a beacon like she, pallid pelt nearly glowing in contrast to the ashen tones of the steppes. While his bright presence screamed beauty, Jupiter wondered idly what hers screamed. Death, perhaps? Was the recent kill that plagued her mind in the oddest of ways that visible upon her countenance? Or was it as absent as the lack of impact the act had upon her conscience? Perhaps she would never know.

He seemed to be expecting her--having smelled her or seen her, no doubt. In her slow-paced approach she had discovered him upon her path and didn't seem to be set upon redirecting her route. Celestial eyes of violet examined him attentively, taking in the rose that graced his orifices and the light crimson that hued his optics. Several yards away she stopped, audits pressed forward and orbs set upon him, scrutinizing what she recognized as an albino specimen of her species with mild interest.

"Expecting somebody?" she inquired with nonchalance, an odd uplift to her voice that signaled a sensation that could either be boredom or amusement.
