Clouds

Summer had come at last, and with it, he hoped things would begin to thaw out and hopefully return to normal. It had been hard in the North, but so far they were managing to survive...and hopefully, things would flourish soon. He wondered how harsh the coming seasons would be...so far, they hadn't had any sort of good or normal weather, and he wasn't looking forward to the next couple of seasons either. So far, the year was like one long never-ending Winter...and one winter season out of the year was often harsh enough up here. But the pack wolves were strong and if they could survive this, they could survive anything, he was sure.

Today, he decided he wasn't going to do any alpha stuff. He moved to lie down on his side and he decided to try and relax on the deck of the ship, perhaps just watch the clouds or think about nothing. It was hard though, as his mind continuously tried to wander to thoughts about his children and their training. Or to the rest of the pack and the future. He shook his head and forced himself to think about nothing for now...simply watching the never-ending mass of clouds that floated overhead and the distant sound of seals and the ocean.
