par for the course

Tyrian was on the hunt for land to graze Fireside's herds. Normally he would consider the Prairie a bit too far and treacherous a trek for his critters, but he was getting a bit desperate. If he had to march them over a mountain or through a swamp to feed them through this blasted winter-summer that would just be par for the course. With narrowing options he wasn't sure what else to do. Pointedly he kicked at a snow covered lump, fully expecting it to be a rock or some other inedible thing, and was pleased when it gave way easily beneath his paw to reveal tall albeit bent and brown grass. It would do. This and the Gulley at his back might just be enough to sustain the goats and sheep. He'd just have to pull quite a few of his wolves in and together they'd have to heavily manage competition. It would be tough but Tyrian thought his wolves were up to the challenge. He glanced around to take better stock of his surroundings. There were no borders here but he couldn't call it vacant just because a pack hadn't claimed it. The vikings had been mobile for a time and now his niece had her pirates so who knew how many bands no roamed Boreas. Rogues, too, were a possibility. "" |
