More wolves began to filter in and Sota only felt the tension in the room grow. He felt worry begin to stir in his chest, but he'd simply sit back and wait for the meeting to begin. Almost immediately it became clear what was going on, and why he himself knew little of what was going on - Resin was growing ill and had declared Ulric as leader, until her children were ready to lead. His brows pulled tightly together in worry as he processed the news. She was locked in a cell somewhere - how barbaric! Though if the decision was hers, then really was it cruel? Being held captive sounded terrifying and he felt his stomach turn as he tried to imagine it, deciding that pushing those images from his mind was a better idea.

Of course, Sota would choose to remain regardless of the changes. The Hallows was his home now, even if he wasn't the most social of wolves, and that wasn't going to change. And a promotion too? That news surprised him - not that he was being promoted to a terribly high rank - but he felt a surge of quiet pride, and resolved himself to do more. He bowed his head in acknowledgment, letting a small smile touch his lips. He didn't aspire for a position of power but he did want to improve himself, to do better for his packmates and The Hallows as a whole, especially with all they were facing right now. His heart ached for Resin and those close to her, even if he himself wasn't effected as immediately; he decided quickly he'd make an attempt to pick up the slack and make things easier on those around him, wherever he could.
