Indigo wasn’t hardly ever alone and for that he was grateful, he could still easily get lost in his own mind but there was always someone there when it got to be too much. Segin especially seemed to be there when he most needed him. Indigo was distracted at best most days, it felt like he could hardly think as his body directed its efforts to healing the massive wound he sustained. He wasn’t blind either, and did notice the steady way Segin’s body began to recover. Flesh returned to his ribs, and his fur was starting to show a much more healthy sheen. There was still room for improvement, but Segin was obviously thriving now. Indigo was annoyed that he hadn’t been able to facilitate more. In fact it was often the other way around entirely. Segin had been taking care of him.

The Fatalis man was lifting himself back to his paws when Segin appeared from a conjoined room to rush to his side. Indigo couldn’t bring himself to settle any weight onto Segin’s thin frame, but the pain made his decision for him. The purple mottled wolf was stronger than he was when they met, but Indigo tried to find his footing quickly. He held an obvious wince on his features, he Indy righted himself even as Segin was reminding him to be careful. Like he could read his mind Segin noticed the pack on the ground and put two and two together. Indigo sighed softly as Segin spoke, telling him to rest and offering to carry the pack to gather herbs. When Segin looked back up at him there was a brightness to his silver gaze that reminded him of joy.

Indy blinked back the pain, but lowered himself to his haunches. He twisted wrong, confident he hadn’t done anything terrible though he tried to put the pain from his mind. He’d hurt a lot worse during the ordeal, this wasn’t anything. ”I’d really like to get out and gather herbs.” He agreed softly, captured by Segin’s shining platinum gaze. ”Having you there sounds better.” From the moment they met Indigo had felt Segin was a kindred spirit, that fact was only proven true after they got to know each other that first night. Indy hadn’t forgotten that connection, and their time together always felt special.

”Lets go to the gardens beyond the castle.” It wasn’t any further a walk than the starlit plains and it boasted a much broader range of plants and herbs to bring home. Steadily he found his feet, as long as he didn’t lean forward too much all would be well. His pace was slow and steady, their roles reversed now compared to the first walk back to the Hallows. They eventually made it to the main entrance of the garden, an old archway that was still full to the brim of old vining plants. Some with small fruits and flowers, Indigo ducked under some low hanging vines next to Segin. He hadn’t let but a few inches distance fall between them, Indigo liked being close to the man. Their similarities and differences were an attraction that Indy was incredibly curious to explore those feelings.

Not that he was pressing anything, as they walked into the main clearing beyond the arch Indy felt himself grow short of breath. Before they could even find anything Indigo was lowering himself to the cold green grass under the dappled shade of a peach tree. ”Maybe.. A break.. For just a… minute.” Indigo was still in rough shape, but outings like this were sure to help him return to normal.
