in my wildest dreams

Indigo was going to walk somewhere, company or not. He was feeling far too restless, borderline useless and he couldn’t stand the feeling any longer. Pack or no he was dragging himself to the garden. Honestly though, having Segin along with him made the prospect even more inviting. Spending some time with him helped to bring a bit of strength back into his limbs. Especially that sweet smile that played over Segin’s features. Without anything even being said the man caused Indy’s heart to beat a little faster in his chest. That wasn’t necessarily a good thing for his condition but he ignored it, resulting in how out of breath he was by the time they grew comfortable at the peach tree.
Segin grew much more comfortable with the pack than the last time Indy saw him carry it. The man hadn’t seen a good meal for who knew how long before they met. Indigo felt proud of Segin and himself to a lesser degree watching his progression. It was a nice distraction as Indigo ignored the flaring pain in his gut. Segin was so sweet, encouraging him to remain resting however long he thought he might need. A smile, though maybe a worried one, remained as he placed the pack down and returned to Indigo’s side. ”I wish I didn’t have to rest.” He traveled to the Armada and back in less than two days, and now he was winded going just outside pack bounds. ”Not that I would ever take back my actions.” Indigo added, never once regretting the course he had to take.
He forgot about all of it, how disgruntled and trapped he felt within the walls, when Segin leaned against him. A pleasant smile replaced his expression as his breathing started to return to normal. Indigo lowered his head to his legs, eyes half lidded as the lazy feeling of the afternoon got to him. Combined with how tired he always was, the shade swiftly lulled him into relaxation. Segin overcast his worries and offered a brightness to focus on through the dark. Indigo was the most at ease he’d been in a long time. Segin nestled into the thick purple fur of his mane, Indigo twisted slightly so he could angle one vibrant blue eye towards his polished silver gaze. It was good to know Segin was so comfortable with him too.
”I’m sorry I haven’t been able to be one hundred percent for you,” that was his one real regret. This injury and how long it was taking to return to normal, to get back to his routine. He did realize one thing, he was going to have to be much more careful about his fighting. He couldn’t afford injuries like this once they were out on their own. He couldn’t help but think about the way Emersyn guarded him while he’d been out…
