Segin nodded with understanding when Indigo mentioned how he didn't want to have to rest but didn't regret what he had done either. He hadn't gotten to spend much time with the larger woman that had come home with him this time, but it didn't really matter. Anyone that Indigo felt needed his help was now family in Segin's eyes. He wouldn't question anyone that got brought into the fold of their purple hued family and he'd care for them unconditionally just like he did Indigo. After all of the loss and pain he had been through it was easy for him to grow attached to the wolves that had come into his life, feeling unwilling to let any of them go again. He made a note to spend more time with Emersyn, Gypsy, and Duchess very soon. He felt like he owed it to Indigo to really made an effort to help bond them all together even more.

As they snuggled together in the shade of the peach tree, he felt Indigo shift until he saw one brilliant sapphire eye look back toward him, making his heart miss a beat. He couldn't figure out what about Indigo attracted him so, but the skips and flutters in his chest were undeniable and seemingly unwavering. His apology was quickly met with a sweet smile, shifting up so that he could reach Indigo's cheek, pressing his nose to him encouragingly for a moment. "Don't be silly. You have nothing to apologize for. I'm just glad you're here." He still couldn't quite shake the feeling of the fear he had felt at even the possibility that they might lose Indigo. He had his own reasons for wanting to be around the violet man and for wanting to be at his side that were a bit more selfish, but he also just saw how good he was for all of them - for Duchess, Gypsy, himself, and now Emersyn - and he knew how hard they would all feel his absence if he were to suddenly disappear from their lives.

Segin shuffled forward a bit more until he was able to rest his head on top of Indigo's neck just behind his head while he was resting it on his paws, leaning more into his mane and snuggling into his larger frame. For the moment at least their herb hunting was forgotten and now his entire attention was captured by Indigo and just enjoying being with him. He laid like that for a few moments with a contented sigh, gazing out over the gardens ahead of them between Indigo's ears, a small smile lingering on his lips. He still couldn't quite get his heart to fully calm, but he had just accepted that was something that would be a part of his days whenever he was alone with Indigo. Feeling a bit daring, he leaned his muzzle toward Indigo's ear that was nearest his muzzle and gave a gentle lick over the back of Indigo's red marked ear, a wider smile pulling across his features.
