He had admittedly been a little surprised when Duchess asked him to go with her on this outing, but he was equally as eager to get to know her as he was to see the lands of Auster with a new light. He had been on the run when he passed through this area before so he had barely taken in any of it. Now that his fears were calmed and his physical state was far better than it once had been he was able to look at the lands around them and really appreciate them. Everywhere he looked Auster seemed to have some other beautiful piece of nature to enjoy and Cattail Creek seemed to be the same.
He happily stood under the shade of one of the sycamore trees, giving Duchess a smile when she glanced back at him before dipping her head to get a drink. His silver gaze took in the lush nature around them, eventually spotting a gathering of ducks that had settled on the shore across from them, none of them seemingly bothered by the smaller wolves watching them as they bathed in the water of the creek. He chuckled softly and then looked at the cat tail plants that lined the slow moving body of water.
"Did you know the cat tails could do this?" he questioned with a grin as he walked up to one of them, sitting back on his haunches so that he could hold one of the round, oval shaped pods that stood at the top of one of the plants between his front paws. He dug his claws into it and it exploded into a big poof of fluffy seeds, making him laugh softly and grin as he glanced back at her.
