Segin was glad that Duchess found his little trick amusing, grinning at her giggle. When she questioned if they could be used for anything he nodded eagerly. "Oh definitely! The leaves are actually pretty easy to weave together to craft pouches, shingles, all sorts of stuff. When they dry they're pretty durable. This fluffy stuff is really good to use for tinder to start a fire too. The roots can be used in healing too burns or cuts as an antiseptic." He chuckled as he got up, shaking off some of the fluff that had gotten stuck to his paw. "There was a pond near where I grew up that had a bunch of these around it so we used them for a lot of things." They were one of the more common plants besides the trees so he would end up using them instead of other herbs quite a bit.
He watched some of the ducks swim into the water and start moving down stream, seemingly done with their bath. He glanced around at the trees and plant life around them again, musing, "There is an awful lot of different plants around here, huh? Even just in the garden and the plains by the castle... I've never seen so many different herbs." Beginning to walk along the creek again, he turned his silver gaze back toward Duchess, asking, "Have you been living with Indigo for very long? You two seem really close."
