Finding not so platonic love
Sirius

For just a second she thought that perhaps they could be friendly and civil. She thought maybe he had already caught Kane's scent on her as they passed by one another earlier during the party and maybe he was still offering her a smile, but alas, that was not the case. A smile had begun to pull at her lips as well as she approached him, but it fell away when he suddenly seemed to freeze and then leaned a bit closer, breathing in her scent - and in turn the scent of her lover. Her ears flicked back uncomfortably and she watched the pained expression on his face deepen. She glanced away from him for a moment, swallowing back the nerves that threatened to creep up on her.
Just one word. You. She looked back to his face with a sigh, a frown pulling at her lips as she looked at the pain and anger forming in his sapphire gaze. "Sirius," she warned quietly, her voice firm. "We talked about this. Lines. Boundaries. We can't be together." She didn't feel like she should have to explain herself, but she would have to for Sirius. She was a grown woman, living her life, finding her comforts where she could just as Resin had told her to do before she was completely lost to her. He had made his choice and she had made hers. "I've met someone," she told him gently, eyeing him uncertainly. She knew him so well, but more and more recently she had no idea how he could react. He was too volatile and unstable for her to guess. Some days she spoke to him and he was the understanding protector she had fallen for and some days she could barely recognize the man in front of her.
