Avantika had won her first tournament match and was looking ahead at her next with cautious optimism. Her opponent, named Gossamer, was very close to her height and build. She didn't know her skills or experience, so all that was left was trying her best. And she could do that. She had to do that. Maybe then, someone would notice her, see her pack, see her. If she got into the final or semi-final round--or if she won, but she didn't expect that--she would be valuable to the Hallows. She would prove her worth to them as she had always longed to.
