A Mammoth Task [THE HUNT]

The hunt was progressing, that much was obvious even from where Corvus and Allegro stood, away from the group and out of sight. The steady drumming of the giants' hooves on the ground almost sounded like thunder at first, a low rumble that he felt in his paws before he really heard it, The mammoth was definitely coming this way and he and Allegro had to be sure they were prepared. They were a good distance from the cliff but not too far, and Corvus poised on the pads of his paws to flee backwards if necessary. Ending up under one of those beasts would spell certain death; the thought made him shiver. "C'mon," he urged them quietly as he focused his gaze on the cliff, ready and waiting.
